Kids love birthday parties. Even big kids like myself enjoy birthday parties.
Recently, I was working in our church's food pantry putting away food donations when I came across a note in one of the grocery bags. The note read: "I bring this food from my party and we bring it for the food pantry. From Paige (Heart) to the Food Pantry
Sweet young Paige asked her friends to bring food for the pantry to her birthday party instead of gifts for her. What a great idea, Paige! Young Paige along with her sister and parents have volunteered in our food pantry. She has helped shelve donations, pack boxes, decorated Thanksgiving cards for the holiday boxes, and greeted our consumers. She sees the need and found a way to fill the need.
Thank you Paige for being a great example for the rest of us.
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?"
Matthew 25:37-38 NIV
